2018 Guildford Games Club Painting Challenge: December!

Final entry for 2018 and Paul is back in action with some extremely characterful halflings!

While I, not to be outdone on the half size men, have cranked out a handful of Warmaster Wood Elves and a few more Stormcast.

2018 Guildford Games Club Painting Challenge: November!

A quiet month for painting with the year end approaching fast. Only me with anything to report this time.

I managed to get the final part of my pledge finished with some different attempts at power weapon glow, with the green and red working best.

Other than that I worked on 10mm scale models for Warmaster Fantasy, getting some Wood Elf Eternal Guard completed as well as a large contingent of 6 units of Dryads, 2 Branchwraiths and four Treemen. I rather foolishly signed up for a tournament in February despite not having an army at the time…

Then just a few more Sigmarines.

2018 Guildford Games Club Painting Challenge: October!

New month, new updates!

Tim Smith has, despite some new distractions, managed to paint up some fantastic looking Tau

I painted some Orcs to bring my AoS forces to 1000pts, The Aethervoid Pendulum and the Prismatic Palisade AoS spells. Then crash painted an entire 1:6000 fleet for Victory at Sea. Top tip: Don’t try and hand paint the Australian flag on a 1:6000 model!

Some good progress from the club this month. Paul has some historical elephants pulling double duty as monstrous beasties…griffons are historical right? They’re in the tapestries and murals so they must be!

2018 Guildford Games Club Painting Challenge: June!

Half way through the year and there’s some development’s afoot!

As ever the mutable way of the world do not leave our pledges untouched. Ash March has crafted anew his pledge for the year and a new challenger approaches! A being known only as Biel Tan has a pledge all their own.

For this month Tim Smith has completed one portion of his pledge with some fantastic looking scenery

Paul’s Romans Auxilia grow faster than the empire itself and the forces of Napoleon lurk ominously in the background

I managed to get forces for two games completed – 6mm Israelis for Fate of a Nation and 28mm British Indians for Chain of Command. As well as finalising my colour scheme for a new Stormcast army for Age of Sigmar.
